Are you and your teens interested in investigating alternatives to traditional collegiate studies after high school? Come explore a variety of trades at the NCHE Thrive! Trades Fair. Talk directly with people working in various fields to see what it’s like and learn more about needed training, apprenticeships, and more!

The CabinSmiths LLC—Log & toner frame home restoration (repair & refinishing)

Career Accelerator Program (CAP)—CAP is a consortia group of companies that provide apprenticeship to youth in Alamance County, through Alamance Community College. Textiles, manufacturing, and packaging companies are represented in our group, and the apprenticeships range from mechanical maintenance, to CNC machining, to metrologist.

Carolinas Associated General Contractors—Construction

Kyrie Global Inc / Cold World Storage—Warehousing, transportation, logistics, supply chain, trucking, 3PL, etc.

Loc-Doc Security–Locksmith

Ovanova—solar + storage company who would love to work with recent homeschool graduates an apprenticeship program where they would be trained to install state of the art solar + storage systems, receive qualifying hours towards their electrical and/or contractor’s license, and they will have an opportunity to quickly advance to the role of project manager

RockATOP—RockATOP is a consortia group of companies in Rockingham County that take apprentices in the manufacturing industry.
