Melanie Willis lives in Dobson, NC, the county seat for Surry County. We recently moved here from the coast of NC, although I am a mountain girl born and raised in Buncombe County, NC. My husband Matt and I always planned on homeschooling our children and have homeschooled since 2010. Matt & I planted a church in 2005 with two others families and I have been children’s ministry director for most of that time. We recently purchased a farm in Surry County and plan on having an educational retreat center in the future. We raise Dairy Goats along with Jersey cows, donkeys and horses. We are enjoying showing our children a different way of doing life while following the will of God.
