Family Camping: Morrow Mountain State Park

Does your family go camping?  Would you like to try it for the first time?  Then join other NCHE families at Morrow Mountain State Park, Albemarle, March 16-18!

NCHE has reserved family campsites for tent camping (sorry, no RVs permitted in the group area).  Bath house with showers, water spigots, some picnic tables and grills are available on-site (although bringing your own table/chairs and stove if you have one would be a helpful idea).

Morrow Mountain State Park boasts 15 miles of hiking trails, lots of bank area for fishing, kayak and canoe rental, and a boat launch area if you want to bring your own water craft.  We are working with the Park Rangers to create special guided activities such as an optional hike and tour of the Dr. Francis Kron homestead just for our group!

Not only will you create family memories and make new homeschooling friends, but you’ll be able to do this at a very economical rate.  Just $25 pays for camping space for your family for the two nights. Entry to the park and parking space for one vehicle is included.   Reservations are transferable but non-refundable.  Space is limited.  Registration deadline is noon on February 28.
