Selecting homeschool curricula is an important and necessary part of homeschooling. There are dozens and dozens of curricula to choose among, so how do homeschool parents choose appropriate curricula that will work for their unique families? This workshop will cover five things families need to consider before purchasing new curricula.

Andrea Thorpe is a wife and a mother of three daughters ages 18, 16 and 11. Prior to becoming a homeschooling mom, Andrea earned an elementary teaching certificate, a BA in English, and an MA in student personnel services. During her nine years in public education, Andrea worked as a classroom teacher and guidance counselor and was recognized as Teacher of the Year. For the past thirteen years, Andrea has enjoyed teaching her lively trio from the comfort of her family’s New Jersey home. Currently, she teaches classes in her local homeschool community and works as a freelance writer. She enjoys encouraging homeschool moms and is the author of three children’s books.
