Amazon Adventure Corn Maze
Lillington, NC
October 12, 2021

Can you really explore the Amazon while never leaving North Carolina?  Yes!  This year you can!  Pumpkin Hollow (CATHIS Farm) is incorporating learning with fun in this traditional fall field trip.  Want to learn about animals and birds of the Amazon?  What’s the climate like there?  Just where in the world IS the Amazon, anyway? Does anyone live there?  And, is it a river–or a rain forest?  Use a map to find learning stations incorporated throughout the maze that teach about the Amazon and give hints to guide you on the right track to conquer this five acre maze!

Join NCHE on this fun adventure, Tuesday, October 12, 2021.  Arrival time will be between 1:30 and 2:30.  About an hour’s drive from Raleigh, Cary or Goldsboro, and only 30-40 minutes from Fayetteville or Sanford, The Amazon Adventure Corn Maze will be a good time for your family and homeschooling friends.  Plan to allow 1-2 hours for this self-paced experience.  Our discounted group admission price includes the corn maze (go through as many times as you want), Straw Bale Summit (climbing activity), barrel train ride, photo op stations, and a free apple.  Also included (depending on staff availability) will be the “Spooky Maze” (a kid friendly “spooky” adventure) and “Zombie Tag” (a contactless game of tag that uses interactive wristbands).  Concessions, pumpkins and farmstand items will be available for purchase on-site.  A picnic area is also available for our use.

Admission is $10.50 for each person 3 and older; 2 and younger are admitted free.  (Regular admission price is $15 per person 3 and older.)  Tickets may be purchased until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, October 10.  This is a rain or shine event with the following exception:  If the FARM cancels due to inclement weather (think hurricane, flooding, lightning), your tickets will be usable on another day of the 2021 season (your choice of day).  Otherwise, tickets are transferable to others for the same day but are non-refundable.
