Lazy 5 Ranch
Friday, November 3, 2023
Mooresville, NC

The Lazy 5 Ranch has been a family run exotic animal park for more than thirty years and is home to 750 animals from six different continents!  At Lazy 5, you’ll be able to be up close to a wide range of creatures from Highland cattle of Scotland to ring-tailed lemurs to giraffes!  The purpose of the Lazy 5 Ranch is to educate in an entertaining way, as well as provide an excellent environment for the reproduction of some of God’s most unique creatures and seeks to help in the recovery of several endangered species.  NCHE’s visit will include ample time to wander the petting zoo at your leisure, drive your car through the exotic animal park, and enjoy the group horse-drawn wagon ride narrated by experienced Lazy 5 wranglers.  And, we’ll be given special animal feed to share with the residents of the ranch, too!

Our day will begin with check-in between 10 and 10:40, followed by by our wagon rides through the park.  Plan to spend 3 to 4 hours wandering the property, getting to observe and learn about the animals.  You will need to bring a picnic (only water bottles and light snacks are available for purchase in the gift shop) and are welcome to find space in the large picnic grove.  Please note that Lazy 5 is a CASH ONLY property.  This is a RAIN or SHINE field trip.

Admission includes petting zoo, drive-through park, horse-drawn wagon tour and picnic area access.  Registrations will be taken until 11:59 p.m., Wednesday, November 1, 2023 or while ticket supply lasts.
