The North Carolina Museum of Life and Science is one of our state’s top family destinations. This interactive science park includes a hike back to the Cretaceous period to visit with life-sized dinosaurs, visits in the Farmyard (Lightning, Dusty and Miss Piggy are waiting to see you), the opportunity to captain a radio-controlled boat, have butterflies all around you in the Magic Wings Butterfly House, and much more! With over 84-acres of outdoor exhibits and over 60 species of live animals, there is always more to explore.
Please join NCHE for this self-paced/self-guided field trip. Check-in time will be between 9:30 and 11 a.m. and you can stay as long as you wish. You are welcome to bring a picnic lunch and eat in the outdoor picnic area or purchase from their on-site cafe. Please note that for the safety of the animals, no straws (even with juice boxes) are permitted. Capable drink bottles are recommended; bottle refill stations are available on the property.
Tickets are $12.95 for children 3 and older; $13.95 for adults. (Regular admissions are $19.35 for children 3-12 and $24.74 for anyone over 12.) Children 2 and younger are admitted for free. Tickets for the April 23 field trip must be purchase by 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20 or while supply lasts. This is a rain or shine field trip.
