Holiday Inn

Halton Auditorium, Charlotte

Friday, February 28, 7:30 p.m.

Based on the 1942 movie starring Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire, Holiday Inn opens when singer-songwriter Jim shocks fiancée Lila and best friend Ted by abandoning the bright lights of Broadway for a quiet family farm in Connecticut. Lila soon abandons Jim, but he meets Linda, a teacher who’s got talent and dreams. Together they transform the old farmhouse into Holiday Inn, a high-class entertainment venue with a dance extravaganza for each holiday from Thanksgiving to the 4th of July. Then Ted visits and confounds their plans. Can these perplexed performers find true love at last?
