Catered meals

Note: You have until May 19 to make any changes to your catered meal plans. Unless there is an emergency, if NCHE provides a meal for you and you do not show up to eat it, NCHE will charge you in order to recoup funds to cover the cost of the meal.

Regional liaisons are invited to eat with the board for Thursday dinner (Leaders' Dinner) . Liaisons will be on their own for other meals unless they are in a special situation.

NCHE organized meals (kids meals)

These meals are organized by a board member and hosted in a hotel room. Historically, they were organized to provide an inexpensive and time-efficient way to feed board member children and then later a few busy volunteers were added. There is a cost of $5 per meal. Give this payment to Spencer Mason. Liaisons are invited to eat these meals along with other significant volunteers.

This is not intended for child care. If you need to drop kids off about 5 minutes early to get to the board meals, that is fine. If your child is young enough to need child care, you will need to have someone who is responsible attend with him/her.

Board/Liaison volunteer schedule

Board/Liaison Schedule

The minimum requirement is 16 hours per couple, or 8 hours per person. Husbands and wives can work each others hours. For example, a husband can work 10 and his wife 6. Board kids ages 15-18 (who are not alumni yet) need to volunteer 4 hours, and board alumni kids who attend need to volunteer 6 hours. If you have kids younger than 15 who are mature enough to help out, put this in the "Volunteer Preferences" field and tell Heather how many hours they can work. If these hours create a hardship, contact Debbie Mason.

If you or your spouse have anything for us to consider as we develop the board work schedule, such as hours you can't work or places that you prefer or hate working, tell us, and we will try to accommodate you. However, we can't promise that we can give you your preferences. See the email for a list of jobs usually done by board, liaisons, alumni and teens.
