Wondering if you can or even should, homeschool “that” child? We take a look at various challenges and admit feeling unprepared. We will acknowledge the shock and the “why me?”. You will accept the things you want to manage so that you can embrace your decisions. You will also be able to encourage others, but most importantly, see the potential and encourage “that” child.

Melanie LeDoux has homeschooled for over 20 years. She brings experience from many challenges and loves to life coach and encourage others. She homeschooled her 3 biological sons. (She was told medically she would be childless). She was also a therapeutic foster parent to many foster children, including MR/DD twins who are now thriving adults. Her experience with learning disorders, ADHD, emotional/behavioral disorders, forms of dyslexia, dysgraphia, chronic illness, prodigality, loss and success leads her to share wisdom from a “real life” perspective, as well as to give some “don’t do what I’ve done” suggestions. Melanie lives with her husband, Kirk, in Davidson, along with their youngest son who is attending college.
