This workshop explains how visual images and hands-on experiences increase reading comprehension and independent learning. In addition, it suggests ways homeschoolers can incorporate hands-on activities and experiences into their homeschool day.
Penny Mayes is a professional art educator and a homeschool veteran teacher of 20 years. For years, she has seen a need for a great, easy to use, hands-on art history curriculum that integrates with most widely used history curriculums. As a professional art teacher and educator, she decided to do something about it. Penny decided to combine her abilities in story-telling and writing with years of experience in art education. This combination coupled with a Christian worldview and a heart for homeschooling birthed Take Time for Art. Penny is a wife and mother of 3 adult children. She makes her home in North Carolina.
