The Division of Non-Public Instruction (DNPE) administers the NC law governing homeschooling practice.  DNPE (www.ncdnpe.org) is unit of the North Carolina’s Department of Administration, a different branch of NC government than the Department of Public Instruction (PDI). David Mills is the currently director of DNPE.
