Central Carolina Home Educators, Incorporated, (CCHE) was founded in 2004, and is a place to encourage homeschool families by coming along side and providing resources and opportunities to supplement your homeschool journey.
EMMA (Enriching, Mentoring, Mastering, and Achieving) Since formation of the EMMA program, in Greensboro in 1996, the classes have functioned as a Christ-centered support system designed to be a helpful, affordable aid to homeschooling families.
Forsyth Home Educators is a Christian homeschool support group representing more than 400 families in the heart of NC. We sponsor championship sports teams, driver’s education classes, workshops, mom’s nights out, prom, graduation, field trips and more. Brea McClain was appointed Region 3 Liaison in 2018. The McClains live in Kernersville where they have homeschooled for 15 years. Her oldest son, Ransom, graduated in 2017, followed by Asher in 2019. She's now teaching Sigourney, 16, in the 11th grade; Tobias, 14, 10th grade; and Corwin, 7, 2nd grade. The loss of her four-year-old son Joel in 2012 gave her a passion for rare disease advocacy, special needs education and grieving parents. Brea and her husband Kevin have served with the NCHE board since 2010, with Kevin filling roles as Education VP, President, IT Director, and currently Advisor. This summer marks Kevin's 15th year with The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where he currently serves as the University's GSuite for Education Administrator.
