The Animal Park at the Conservators Center is home to over 70 animals representing many different species from around the globe.  We will get to meet large felines such as lions, tigers, leopards and jungle cats and canines such as dingoes and the New Guinea Singing Dog.  Guides will teach us not only about these animals in general but will also tell us about these specific individuals and how they came to be at The Animal Park.  The Animal Park at the Conservators Center strives to provide a premiere educational experience at every level of zoological involvement from park tours to an industry-leading internship program for future animal husbandry professionals.

Join NCHE and other homeschool families on Monday, October 18, for a one-hour guided instructional tour of large carnivores at The Animal Park.  At the conclusion of the group tour, you will be welcome to self-tour The Visitor’s Center where you will find reptiles, spiders and smaller animals.  You may choose from three tour times:  11 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 1:45 p.m.  Our discounted group admission price is $9.95 for children 3-18; $10.95 for adults; 2 and younger are admitted free.  (Regular admission price is $14+tax for children through age 12; $16+tax for adults.) Space is limited.  Tickets may be purchased until 11:59 p.m. on October 16 or while supply lasts. This is a rain or shine event.  The walking paths are stone/gravel and are not wheelchair or stroller accessible.  TIckets are transferrable to others for the same day but are non-refundable. 

COVID POLICY:  While we have taken enhanced safety measures, an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place. The CDC advises that senior citizens and those with underlying health conditions are especially vulnerable. By participating in this field trip, you voluntarily assume all risk related to exposure of COVID-19. Prior to the field trip, you will receive an email with a COVID-19 self check form.
