Training Boys to Become Men: Rites of Passage, Ceremonies, and Blessings

2014 H.I.N.T.S. Book Fair
General interest to all parents

Manhood, in general, has been under attack for decades, and even the process of becoming an adult has become nebulous. It is clear that a boy needs someone to tell him when he becomes a man, and ideally, that someone should be his father. Our culture does not have a significant rite-of-passage for boys the way other cultures do (such as a Bar Mitzvah), which may be a key to helping boys learn how to become men. We will discuss possibilities for how to implement blessing ceremonies, training programs and other rites of passage as you raise your sons.
