Scholarship Committee Announces Winners

“If I homeschool my child through high school, will they be accepted into college?” This is the most common question parents ask regarding homeschooling through the upper grades. As scholarship committee chair, I can say with confidence, yes, homeschooled students are accepted into colleges and universities. This year, the applicants for the NCHE and HINTS scholarships will be attending a multitude of colleges and universities.

NCHE Scholarships Awarded

In December 2011, forty-eight homeschool seniors sent application packets to be considered for one of six scholarships that NCHE administers. Transcripts, SAT or ACT scores, two letters of recommendation and a personal essay were required from each student. A committee carefully examined each packet, ranking each one. Those rankings were then compiled and the winners were chosen. We at NCHE are blessed to be able to administer these scholarships each year, and it is amazing to see the level of scholarship and talent among the applicants.
