Founded in 1984, North Carolinians for Home Education (NCHE) is a private, volunteer organization active at the state level, serving homeschoolers in North Carolina and beyond.
In order to better serve, NCHE divides the state into nine regions. Each region has an assigned number and Regional Director.
Homeschooling is the view that education is best when teaching and learning are integrated into the relationships and activities of the family.
The oldest form of education, homeschooling was legally recognized in NC in 1988.
Article 39 of chapter 115C of the General Statutes defines a Homeschool in NC. The Division of Non-Public Instruction (DNPE) administers the NC law governing homeschooling practice.

FACES Catholic Homeschoolers
This group is for members of the Family Apostolate of Catholic Education and Service (FACES) home school co-op located in Charlotte, NC. FACES is an apostolate of Roman Catholic families established to support homeschooling families in their role as primary educators of their children.
This is a homeschool support group for members of RockFish Church in Raeford, NC.
FACT (Families Advocating Christian Training)
Alexander County: We are a group of Christian, homeschool families who have formed a support group. We have Mom's Meetings, PE classes, Music class, a Library class at our local library, and many field trip opportunities.

Fun Fridays Co-op
Our Fun Fridays Co-op meets in and around Greensboro every Friday from 11:00--1:00. We meet for fun and enriching activities, for example: Science, Art, Book Club, PE, Field Trips, and Parties (Valentines, Christmas, etc). We are also working on adding activities for preschoolers.
Front Porch Classroom
Front Porch Classroom is a free, home school support group for students of all ages, as well as the people who teach them. Meetings are open to everyone who cares about homeschooling- whether new to the adventure or someone with years of expertise.
FISH is a faith-based weekly co-op that meets in Lexington. Our goal is to share talents and abilities to provide enrichment opportunities at minimal cost.
