Founded in 1984, North Carolinians for Home Education (NCHE) is a private, volunteer organization active at the state level, serving homeschoolers in North Carolina and beyond.
In order to better serve, NCHE divides the state into nine regions. Each region has an assigned number and Regional Director.
Homeschooling is the view that education is best when teaching and learning are integrated into the relationships and activities of the family.
The oldest form of education, homeschooling was legally recognized in NC in 1988.
Article 39 of chapter 115C of the General Statutes defines a Homeschool in NC. The Division of Non-Public Instruction (DNPE) administers the NC law governing homeschooling practice.

NCHE is in the process of moving to a new publication schedule of 2 GREENHOUSE issues a year (spring and fall) and a graduate issue in May. During this transition, we have not yet developed what the new ad rates and specs will be. This ad form is for the 2016 graduate issue. The deadline to advertise in this issue is April 1.
About GREENHOUSE Graduate Issue
The GREENHOUSE publishes a special issue in May that celebrates our high school graduates. The issue contains graduation recognitions, graduate ads contributed by families in celebration of their graduate, and articles focused on the topic of graduation. This special issue is a great memento of this celebration. We make this issue available for graduate families to purchase extra copies for those important people in the graduate’s life. As with other GREENHOUSE issues, this special graduate issue is mailed to all of our subscribers and available to everyone online in PDF at nche.com.
