We’ve been a homeschool family for over seventeen years, and one of our four children became a drug addict. Shocking, isn’t it? We certainly experienced shock. Your mind is probably anxious to know the reason, so you will be able to protect your own children from such a fate. We wish we could give you one.

On February 9, NCHE Athletic Commission (NCHEAC) sponsored the second annual state swim meet with fifty-two swimmers representing teams in Asheville, Clinton and Raleigh, along with seven independent swimmers from various areas of the state.

Each of you has some type of plans for the future. If I were to ask you individually what your plans are after graduation, one might mention college; another would report plans for other technical training; another, a career in a particular field; another, maybe ministry or mission work.

Graduation is a time of significance and celebration: a season of labor has yielded fruit—something we have longed for, hoped for, has been achieved. We rejoice! We embrace it and mark the occasion with a ceremony replete with gowns, music, symbolism and speeches.
