- (1) What is the difference between conference workshops and vendor workshops?
- Conference workshops are done by speakers who have been invited to participate in our conference. The topics are usually inspirations or how to’s about homeschooling and family. A vendor workshop is done by one of our vendors and usually explains their product in more detail than they are able to do in the book fair.
- (2) What is included in Book Fair Only admission?
- This includes admission to the book fair during its regular hours, admission to vendor workshops and admission to the workshops on Thursday afternoon from 3:00-4:00 - Session 1.
- (3) What is included in Full Conference admission?
- This entitles you to attend the book fair during regular hours, all conference and vendor workshops, and keynote sessions.
- (4) When and Where do you get the CDs?
- There is a CD order table located just outside Room A North Main Hall. The individual CD's are available for sale immediately following the sessions. You may also pick up an order form from the registration table to order multiple CD's easily. If you decide to order a complete set you may pick it up at the end of the conference. You may pick up your order immediately following the session or anytime before the end of the conference.
- (5) How do I know which number to order and how much do the CD’s cost?
- Each session is assigned a number, which is in the program. Simply note the number CD you desire and ask for that one. The order form, which is available at the registration desk, has all of these numbers listed as well. The CD’s are $6.00 each.
- (6) Can I buy CD’s after the conference?
- Yes, CD’s of the workshops are available after the conference online through Manna Conference Taping at www.mannarecording.com . They may be purchased for up to one year following the conference.
- (7) Do you record the Talent Showcase?
- Because of copyright restrictions we are not able to record the Talent Showcase.
- (8) Do you record Graduation?
- Yes, we do record both graduation ceremonies. The DVD’s can be ordered at the conference from Visual Aid Electronics.
- (9) Do you sell DVD’s of the Keynotes?
- Yes – They can be ordered at the conference through Visual Aid Electronics.
- (10) What is the College and Camp Fair?
- This is an opportunity for students to meet and talk with college recruiters who are interested in homeschooled students. There are also several area camps represented.
- (11) When and Where is the College and Camp Fair?
- The College and Camp Fair is located in the Garden Terrace on the 2nd floor of the Embassy Suites hotel. The Fair is held on Friday from 10:00AM to 4:00 PM.
- (12) How do I find a particular booth in the book fair?
- There is a map in your program of each vendor and speaker in the book fair. Simply refer to the numbered list and then find that number on the layout map. Or you can ask for directions at the NCHE table.
- (13) Where is lost and found?
- The Lost and Found is located at the information table and at the NCHE table in the book fair.
- (14) Are there any free sessions?
- There are eight workshops during Session 1 that are free and open to the public. This session runs from 3:00 to 4:00.
- (15) Where are the vendor bags?
- The Vendor Bags are located on a table just outside the book fair. You may take as many as you like.
- (16) Can anyone attend the graduation ceremony?
- Yes, both graduation ceremonies are open to anyone who would like to attend.
- (17) Where is the Piedmont Music Festival located?
- At Piedmont Baptist College, 420 South Broad Street, which is about 1 1/2 miles south of the Benton Convention Center.
- (18) How can I register my children for the Music Festival?
- You can register your children by contacting Brian Weer at musicfestival@pbc.edu
- (19) Where are the teen activities located?
- Both teen activities are located in the Hearn Ballroom on the 2nd floor of The Marriot hotel.
- (20) Is there an additional charge to participate in the teen activities?
- There is no additional charge for these events.
- (21) Is there a children’s program this year?
- No there will not be a children’s program this year.
- (22) Can I make hotel reservations for next year during this conference?
- Hotel reservations for Marriot and Embassy Suites for the 2009 conference can be made October 1, 2008.
